Family Support
''Varna is special because the staff members are always there for you and listen to what we have to say. They care for us and always make sure we are happy!''
Our Child and Family Support Lead is Mrs. L McEntee, her role is to support pupils and families at school. Please see this leaflet to look at the sort of things Mrs McEntee can support with.
If you have any safeguarding concerns or queries, the Designated Safeguarding Lead in school is Miss Pilling (Deputy Headteacher), she can be contacted at school on 0161 711 1023.
Mrs Whitehurst is our Attendance Assistant and works cloesly with Mrs McEntee to support families in ensuring that they have great attendance and punctuality. Mrs Whitehurst monitors and tracks attendance and punctuality data across the school. If your child is absent she will also make the first response call and follow up with a home visit where necessary. If your child is going to be absent please contact the school at the earliest opportunity on the first day of absence and before 9am. We welcome families to contact us with questions and suggestions and we will always do our best to help.
We understand how important it is to support our parents and carers, as well as the children who attend our school, therefore, we have created and will continue to develop this page to signpost parents and carers to useful websites and resources that can help support our families.
