Here's a selection of pictures from our Year 6 Residential trip to Howtown. As you can see we're having lots of fun!
THURSDAY'S ADVENTURES
Team Bonington
Team Bonington had a brilliant last day! Mostly because they were joined by a suprise visitor - Miss Pilling! They started their adventures with a row across the lake followed by a hike in the woods with a hot-chocolate stop along the way. Then we joined Team Fiennes around the firepit for toasted marshmellows and chats about our favourite moments at Howtown!
Team Fiennes
Team Fiennes worked brilliantly as a team to scramble up a mountain. They learnt how to hold and control the ropes when rock climbing. In the evening, they reflected on their achievements of the week. They finished their day with toasted marshmellows over a campfire.
Team Hill
Team Hill started the day with some more Night Line, leading their partner around a course blindfolded. We then rowed across Ullswater lake to the other side, where we explored some underground tunnnels. Afterthat, we ate our lunch on a beach, splashed around a bit, and then rowed back where we finished off by jumping off the boat into the lake for a swim! We then sat around a fire with Team Muir and toasted marhsmellows, while reflecting back on our proudest moment so far.
Team Muir
Team Muir had a special guest join their group today - Miss Livesey! The team channelled their inner explorer side today with a gorge walk up some small waterfalls, as well as facing their fears with a jump off a low cliff that lead straight into the water. They then finished off their final day with a campfire, roasting tasty marshmellows!

Team Fiennes
Team Fiennes caught the steamferry from Howtown over to Glenridding. They then made their way back to the centre. They took in the sights and even had the chance to dip their feet in the water. After dinner, they played some team games, and voted to go for a jog and dip again.
Team Hill
Team Hill spent the morning walking up to the top of a hill, taking in the picturesque views from the top! They then walked down the other side and canoed back along Ullswater Lake, working as a team to make it back to the centre. After dinner, they put on blindfolds and guided each other around the night line.
